Brady Hoke continues to steal Urban Meyer’s boys. And I love it. 4* LB Ben Gedeon out of Hudson, Ohio is Michigan’s 17th commitment of the 2013 class. It’s still hard to believe we already have 17 commitments. Gedeon has been a favorite LB prospect of mine and it’s especially nice knowing that he chose Michigan over the likes of Ohio State, Stanford, Michigan State, and Penn State. It turns out that the rumors that Gedeon visited Stanford last weekend were true, but clearly Stanford didn’t have the effect on him that Michigan did. Rivals ranks Gedeon 224th overall in the nation and 8th at his position. He stands 6’3” and 215 pounds and is an excellent overall athlete.
Gedeon is our 8th commitment from Ohio, which makes up almost half of our incoming class. Just how quickly is our class filling up? At this point last year, only OL Ben Braden was committed. Crazy. Gedeon is also the 13th 4* recruit of the 2013 class, one more than the total in the 2012 class. Needless to say, this is going to end up being one hell of a class.
Being that we now have 17 commitments for the class of 2013, that leaves about 5-7 spots left. Will another one of those remaining spots fill up this weekend? Stay tuned.
24 or 25 commits, is what I keep reading, so that would give us 7 or 8 spots, and I suspect all of the last remaining prospects to be 4*+ recruits.
