Catching up with Laquon Treadwell

freep.com
I know this is who everyone wants to hear about, so I finally got a hold of Treadwell to answer some of your guys’s questions.
Me: How was your OSU visit?
Laquon: It was real good. I liked meeting all the coaches and watching film with the players and everything.
Me: It really looks like you’re loving the recruiting process. Doesn’t it just feel like constant road trips at this point though?
Laquon: Yes, I am. It’s really something I have to enjoy because I only get one chance at this. But yeah, it seems like I’m always on the move!
Me: A lot of Wolverine Nation is pretty upset you won’t be at the Spring Game this weekend. Are you gonna be back at Michigan anytime soon?
Laquon: I wanted to go to the Spring Game, sounds like I would get a lot of love if I did. I just had already had that visit [Oklahoma] planned. But yeah, I will be down real soon.
Me: What everyone wants to know: when are you gonna narrow down your list? Where will Michigan be on it?

Laquon: I don't know at all [when I'm gonna narrow down my list]. Michigan will definitely be in my top list.

You guys have to remember Treadwell is a high school kid getting a lot of love for being an incredible athlete. Just because he doesn't want to commit as early as our 17 commitments for the class of 2013 doesn't mean he's no longer interested in Michigan. It seems to be a trend with very high-profile prospects, especially wide receivers, to want to prolong the process as long as they can so they can enjoy their recruiting process. There's no blame in that. Personally, I still think we have a great shot and I do think Treadwell thinks very highly of Michigan. We'll find out sooner or later!

  1. I do not believe Treadwell will be apart of UM class. He is enjoying recruiting process and I don't blame him. I just don't think other recruits will wait as long as he will and the coach won't let what happened at the end of last years class happen again.JMO.
