Week 9 BCS/AP/Big Ten Rankings

Horrid. Just plain horrid. During the course of the Michigan-Nebraska game, Denard Robinson got hurt yet again. It was said he injured the nerve in his throwing elbow, thereby not allowing him to grip the football. Russell Bellomy came in as the backup, and the offense was doomed from there. What did we learn about Michigan's offense on Saturday? Without Robinson, it's largely ineffective.

A second straight game and no sign of Thomas Rawls. Another anemic rushing performance by Toussaint, which begs the question: what is Al Borges doing? You can't use the argument that he doesn't have his players on the team yet...to me that's a cop out excuse that I heard constantly during the RichRod era. Anyway, as usual Ohio State is undefeated yet again and with three games to go, including Michigan, they could still be come time for "The Game." Wisconsin was surprisingly bad offensively against Michigan State but it didn't help that Joel Stave got hurt. Minnesota won their first Big Ten game against Purdue in dominating fashion. I could go on...but that'd seem redundant at times, so here's the poll. The BCS poll:

1) Alabama (.9759) This week Alabama will face LSU. It's not the match-up of last season, but it's the only roadblock left for Alabama from now till the national championship.
2) Kansas State (.9400) Could very well be the best team Bill Snyder has ever coached. What he's done for the team since coming out of retirement is amazing.
3) Notre Dame (.9147) Hopefully now after beating Oklahoma, the doubters will be silenced. Myself included.
4) Oregon  (.9136) So they beat Colorado 70-14...so could a lot of teams. They need to face better teams to get more respect.
5) LSU (.8163)
6) Georgia (.7753) Every year people start to doubt Mark Richt. Every year he shuts them up again.
7) Florida (.7604) Way too fast on the SEC title chances by many analysts. Could be scary good next year however.
8) South Carolina (.5968) If you haven't seen the Lattimore injury, find it on youtube. Most gruesome thing I've ever seen, and Connor Shaw still brought the team to a win. Inspirational.
9) Florida State (.5743)
10) Louisville (.5661) Only Big East team that is undefeated, but due to being in the Big East they don't have the respect of other conferences. 
11) Oregon State (.5559)
12) Oklahoma (.5454) Bob Stoops has lost more games at home in the last couple seasons than he has in years. 
13) Clemson (.5095)
14) Stanford (.4863)
15) Mississippi State (.3913) Going in undefeated to face Alabama, they were slaughtered. Now we all know they would lose, but the effort just wasn't there.
16) Texas A&M (.3593)
17) USC (.3509) Another loss, and Matt Barkley's chances of winning the Heisman is fully in the rearview mirror. 
18) Texas Tech  (.3242)
19) Boise State (.3123) They've made a decent comeback since a season opening loss against 5-4 Michigan State, but how they're ranked this high is beyond me.
20) Nebraska (.2568) IF Nebraska wins out, they'll be in Indianapolis for the Big Ten title game. And I'm assuming Pasadena from there since there is no team from the Leaders Division who wants the opportunity
21) West Virginia (.2512)
22) Arizona (.1692) A signature win for Arizona and RichRod...something he was unable to do for Michigan in 3 years.
23) Texas (.1640)
24) Oklahoma State (.0893)
25) Louisiana Tech (.0784)

• On a side note, here are the AP rankings. Oregon is at the 2 spot, not 4..and Ohio State is at 6. Just like any other Michigan fan, I don't like OSU but I am starting to be more aware of the job Meyer is doing in Columbus even with sanctions.
