While reviewing Sellers' play, it becomes pretty clear that his major asset is his shooting. However, he has a multitude of skills that helps his impressive outside shooting. He can certainly drive the basket, play in the post, get others involved, and is a decent rebounder. When UMHoops interviewed his AAU coach, he argued that Sellers projected to be a 3 at the next level and has been improving his defense. I'm not completely convinced that Sellers will actually play the 3 in college, but he is definitely a versatile player. He has the ability to play anywhere from 1-4, but obviously, the 2 and the 3 are where he would be most comfortable. If he can work on improving his size, strength, and defense, he will become a much better player and might have a shot at getting a Michigan offer and a jump in the rankings..

As far as rankings go, things are pretty spotty so far. ESPN and Scout have ranked him, but Rivals and 247 don't have any actual rankings for Sellers out yet. His height and weight seem to be pretty close across the board, but there do seem to be some pretty significant differences in terms of position. As I discussed earlier, this isn't that surprising considering that he is such a versatile player, but his position according to the scouting services is pretty up in the air. If I had to predict now, I would say he ends up playing the 2, but I think it will depend more on his college team and their roster than anything else. He's rated as a 2* player right now, but if he gets a little bigger and plays some stiffer competition, the rankings should come. In fact, a recent post on an Indiana recruiting site also argued that now that he's beginning to play tougher competition, the offers should start coming in the near future.
Speaking of offers, Sellers currently doesn't have too many. This will likely change in the future, but he has been receiving some steady contact from Butler, Dayton, and Michigan. In comments to UMHoops, Sellers has also talked about receiving some attention from Indiana State, Central Michigan, and Western Michigan. There has also been some sites that have talked about Indiana and Purdue expressing some interest in Sellers. For now, I think Butler and Michigan have to be the favorites, assuming they offer, but this recruitment isn't even close to over.
For now, Michigan seems to be in fine shape. As I said, a lot will change between now and 2014 signing day and there is definitely still a question about whether Sellers will ever receive a Michigan offer, but if certain things happen in the 2014 recruiting cycle and Michigan does offer, you have to like our spot. Beilein definitely seems to be doing his homework so far and I think the "fall-back" guys are very quality players. It's unlikely Sellers gets an offer anytime soon, but he could turn out to be one of the players that develop into a solid contributor in the future.
