He offers a tremendous advantage for any school and would be a massive pick-up for Michigan. He's been described as a smart player that can "create on his own" and is "active" on the glass on defense. Beilein is always looking for solid defensive players and I think we all know what Burke has been able to "create on his own" in the past. Not saying he's the next Trey Burke, but having that ability in 2014 would be very exciting. Along with this, he's been identified as a "good" shooter, which would fit perfectly with Beilein's offense and is one of the major reasons why he has attracted so much attention from programs including Indiana, Notre Dame, and Louisville. He has decent size at 185 lbs, but I think it's pretty safe to say that he'll be a tad bit bigger before he enters Big Ten play.

ESPN was clearly the toughest of the recruiting sites on Bluiett. Rivals has him as one of the elite players in the nation and although Scout has him a bit lower, I anticipate that he will wind up pretty high on their rankings due to his 4* status and ranking as #16 at his position. However, why ESPN has Bluiett at only a 3* still surprises me. He certainly has the offers to justify a 4* status and although I think Rivals probably has him a bit too high, I don't think he'll stay at his 3* rank for that long. I think the combination of elite offers and the other scouting services show that he has a great chance at earning that fourth star.
As I said in an earlier post, I don't think Michigan is his clear leader by any mark, but I do think that they are in great shape. Battling teams like Indiana and Purdue for Bluiett will be tough, and according to Bluiett's own comments, it could be a very long process. Getting the third Michigan offer in the 2014 class is very exciting, but don't expect a commitment from him anytime soon. Beilein's offers are pretty selective and often wind up in commitments, but is definitely not a guarantee in this case.
UMHoops has listed Bluiett as having "medium-high" interest in Michigan, which is a great sign, but I just think it's important to stress that this could take a while. He seems to want to commit before his senior season and before Signing Day of 2014, but that's a long time off. If I had to gauge right now, I think Indiana and Michigan have the best chance, but now that Michigan has officially offered, that situation may change a little bit. I mean, he was visiting Michigan despite having a lot of other great offers, which makes me think that he was waiting for the offer from the Maize and Blue for a while. He's not committed, but this is a recruit that should get fans excited.
